Valley Rock Inn features a market, bike shop, garden grill and four guesthouses that will be available for rent later in the fall.

Developer Michael Bruno, who moved to the area five years ago, said his goal to entice people from the city who visit Harriman State Park to come and spend money in Sloatsburg.

At Valley Rock, people can visit 7 Lakes Bike Barn, where people can rent road and mountain bikes and purchase apparel. A coffee bar will be opening inside the bike bar later this year.

“This region has a vibrant cycling community and as it continues to grow, we felt something was missing,” said Bruno. "What we have created is a haven for cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, and visitors with a modern, active, and healthy lifestyle

The market features organic produce and will be joined by a farm to table restaurant opening next summer. An art gallery and bookstore are set to open later this year, while a hotel will open next summer. A food truck and outdoor grill are currently on site.

“The location offers an escape for everyone—especially for city-dwellers who want to get away from it all but not that far away,” said Bruno.
