ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Hanukkah falls early this year -- it begins at sunset, Sunday, Dec. 6 and lasts until Monday, Dec. 14.- and, as always, Fairfield County is ablaze with events. What follows is a sampling.
Nanuet: Fairway is offering "8 Days of Oil, " on Tuesday, Dec. 8, an in-store event sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Rockland County and the Rockland Jewish Initiative. Meet at the market to taste different flavors of oil, learn about its role in the Chanukah story, and find out about holiday foods and customs.
