The recommended donation is $5. Anyone can sign up to share up to five minutes of original poetry. Doors open at 6:30. Poetry runs 7-9 p.m.
Rush started writing poems after developing progressive hearing loss as a teenager and noticing how many words each word could be.
She represented the venue Slam Free or Die in the 2014 and 2015 National Poetry Slam and the 2014 and 2015 Women of the World Poetry Slams, performing on finals stage at WOWPS 2015.
Her work has been published in numerous anthologies and publications.
