HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- It will be a dark and stormy night in Garnerville when storytellers and their rapt listeners gather at the Haverstraw King’s Daughters Public Library this weekend.
Only kidding about the weather, but, seriously, there’s nothing like a good tale told well to warm … or chill … the heart on a damp and dreary fall day.
Rockland County’s 20th annual storytelling festival will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the library, which is at 10 W. Ramapo Road.
Conjuring up images and feelings with words, gestures and sounds will be professional storytellers Christopher Agostino, April Armstrong, Elise Krakower, Jonathan Kruk, and Pamela Schembri. Teen storytellers will also perform at the free event.
There will be crafts for children and light refreshments will be served.
