Wesley Hills' Antrim Players Put On 'The Rainmaker,' Release New Lineup

WESLEY HILLS, N.Y. -- Antrim Playhouse in Wesley Hills will present “The Rainmaker” by N. Richard Nash tonight and on certain Fridays and Saturdays in June.

Cast and crew for the production are: Melinda Pinto, director; Peggy Bruner, producer; Neil Battinelli (Starbuck); Dana Duff (Lizzie); Seth Kaplan (Noah); Brian King (Deputy Sheriff J.S. File); Tom Lambrix (H.C. Curry); Harry Leavey (Jim Curry); and Gordon Wolotira (Sheriff Howard Thomas).

Friday and Saturday performances are 8 p.m. on June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18.

Sunday matinees are 1 p.m. on June 5 and 2 p.m. on June 12 and 19.

The theater is offering a dinner and performance package for $53.

The theater will make reservations at Pasta Cucina of Suffern when patrons buy their tickets.

Patrons should arrive at the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. and prepare to leave for the theater by 7:15 p.m.

The theater also released its line-up for the current season.

  • "A Shot in the Dark," a 1940s musical murder mystery, will run from Oct. 7 through 30 and will be directed by Randy Accardi.
  • "The Elephant Man," directed by Lauren M. Widner, will run from Jan. 20 through Feb. 5. It is a play about Joseph Merrick, a severely deformed man in 19th century London.
  • "Sylvia," runs from March 17 through April 2 and will be directed by Melina Pinto. The modern romantic comedy tells about a middle-aged pair of empty-nesters readjusting to life after the husband brings home Sylvia, a stray pooch.
  • "Moon Over Buffalo," directed by Susan Binder, is set for June 9 through June 25 next year. It is a madcap comedy featuring George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950's.
