"We showed them the best that Rockland County has to offer," County Executive Ed Day said. "We hope they come back with their families and friends."

The visitors who spent two days in Rockland included travel agents for the Chinese community, business leaders, marketing managers, and media executives.

The group started the tour Thursday at the Nyack Marina, where they went on a sailboat tour of the Hudson River. They also visited the Edward Hopper House and Time Hotel in Nyack.

After enjoying lunch at the Red Hill Café in New City they went to Haverstraw Bay County Park, Perkins Memorial Tower, Bear Mountain State Park, Garner Arts Center and had dinner at Union Restaurant in Haverstraw.

They spent the night at the Time Hotel in Nyack and on Friday they went to the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.

At the mall, they shopped, saw the ice skating rink, rope climbing, bowling and other activities. They ended the day at the Harriman Outdoor Center.

"They visited all different parts of the county to really get a good feel for what Rockland is like," said Day. "They saw Rockland's natural beauty, arts and cultural offerings and restaurants and shopping."
