“What makes Nyack Hospital unique in Rockland County are several things, we have stepped into the breach to provide certain services that the community requires and we're the only hospital to do that,” said Geller.
After initially being appointed the interim CEO in 2014, Geller permanently assumed the role less than six months later in recognition of his display of leadership and focus on patient care. Geller’s path to president has been a unique and somewhat familial affair.
“I have lived in Rockland County for many years," said Geller. "My father was the chair of the department of radiology here and I worked in high school and college in varying roles,” said Geller, who was a radiology specialist prior to his transition to hospital management. Largely due to his guidance, Nyack Hospital has experienced positive change over the last few years .
