NYACK, N.Y. -- At one of the lower Hudson Valley's busiest -- and highest regarded -- trauma centers, patients in critical care are in good hands.
Dr. Jeffrey S. Rabrich has been appointed medical director for emergency medicine at Nyack Hospital, having joined the hospital team from St. Luke’s in New York City. There, he served as medical director for the hospital's Level I Trauma Center. At Nyack Hospital, Rabrich will oversee operations for the center's Emergency Department, which totals over 60,000 visits annually, making it one of the busiest in the region.
Interested in health and medicine from a young age, Rabrich began his career in emergency medicine as a volunteer EMT before becoming a full-time paramedic. Having experience with trauma injuries both as a first responder and as a hospital care provider, Rabrich comes to Nyack Hospital with a unique perspective and understanding of emergency medicine services.
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and subspecialty Boarded in EMS Medicine, he is also an assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and member of the Emergency Medicine Faculty on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
