Nanuet Hotel Restaurant Vies For Perfect Pie In DVlicious Pizza Contest

NANUET, N.Y. -- Bright plum-tomato sauce, puddles of melted mozzarella, a perfectly charred crust … does life get any better with the perfect slice in front of you? We think not.

What Makes It Good: This time warp of a place gets rave reviews for its homey atmosphere and golden, thin-crust pizzas, which one Yelper called "nirvana." Owner Paul Finnegan said Nanuet Hotel is special because they've used the same recipe since 1944. 

"Nothing has changed," he said. "All of the ingredients we use are the same since that first pizza pie."

The eatery is also big on coming up with new combinations and creations. Said Finnegan: "Whether it's a traditional sausage pie or our specialty BCR pie [bacon, chicken, ranch] we welcome all taste buds."
