The Ramapo Police Department issued an alert on Saturday warning that officers are on McNamara Road in the area of East Willow Tree Road, where there is a water main break, which is creating icy conditions for drivers.

Police said that the area has been salted, but they are encouraging motorists to use extra caution and to avoid the area if possible. Suez Water crews are currently at the scene, but there is no timetable for when work will be complete.

While crews work on the main break, police said that residents in the area may experience a loss of water or water pressure, which will be restored once Suez is finished.
