A judge dismissed the charges on Thursday against 29-year-old Haim Boukris, accused of sexual assault against a child earlier this year in Sullivan County, according to Time Warner Cable News.
His attorney, Kenneth Gribetz, stated that the charges were insane from the beginning, the news station reported.
In April, a grand jury indicted Boukris, a Fallsburg Rabbinical student, on charges of predatory sexual assault against a child, sexual abuse and criminal sexual act, said TWC.
But Judge Frank LaBuda dismissed the indictment because he said prosecutors didn't provide sufficient evidence, reported Time Warner Cable News.
