It's all in a day's work for police officers when it come to strange calls for help, including a recent call that a large black snake was slithering along several streets of the Hudson Valley, according to the Hudson Valley Post.
The 4-foot snake had Port Jervis Police Department telephones ringing about its presence near the busy intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Jersey Avenue, said the Hudson Valley Post.
Port Jervis Police Officer Patrick Kerr came to the rescue, and according to reports showed no fear when he picked up the snake and turned it over to the owner of Trinity Pets, added the Hudson Valley Post.
Trinity Pets then moved the snake to a rural wooded area outside of the city limits, said the Hudson Valley Post.
