Nyack Man Hits Patron With Bottle, Chair In Bar Fight, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  A Nyack man was charged early Sunday with assault after attacking another person with a bottle and chair at a local bar, according to the Orangetown Police.

William Conway, 24, was arrested after police responded to an incident around 3:30 a.m. at the Pour House at 102 Main St., according to Sgt. Kerri Lynne Schiller.

When officers arrived they found another man with a large gash on his head after being hit by Conway, who also punched the man in the face with his fist and with a chair, Schiller said.

The victim was transported Nyack Hospital for treatment. Conway was caught a few blocks away in front of his home.

He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon and released on $5,000 bail. He is due to reappear in court on Tuesday.
