Police Cite Progress In Finding Middletown Firefighter's Killer

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- It’s been six months, and the killer of Middletown firefighter Justin Speights has still not been brought to justice, according to a report by Time Warner Cable News.

Heartsick friends, family members and colleagues have been struggling to find closure after the 20-year-old volunteer was stabbed to death breaking up a fight at a house party on New Year’s Day, multiple media reports said.

A $20,000 reward has been offered for information in the case, and police – who have conducted hundreds of interviews and followed hundreds of leads – say they are making progress, according to the Time Warner Cable News report.
