Police: Man Caught With Cocaine In Cell Phone Outside 7-Eleven In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man inside a car in the parking lot at the 7-Eleven in Montebello was caught pouring cocaine on a cell phone Sunday morning, Ramapo Police said.

At about 7:30 a.m., a Ramapo police officer on patrol observed the vehicle parked in the 7-Eleven lot on Hemion Road and noticed a man occupant sitting in the driver's seat with his head down, police said.

The officer walked up to the car to check on the welfare of the man and noticed that the male was pouring what appeared to be a bag of cocaine out onto a cellphone.

The substance was tested and showed positive for the presence of cocaine.

The man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and is currently being held at RPD awaiting arraignment.

Police did not release the name of the man.
