STONY POINT, N.Y. – The children’s room at the Rose Memorial Library in Stony Point, damaged after a water pipe burst in October, has been reopened, according to a report on lohud.com.

The flood destroyed books in the library's Francis C. Eagan Children's Room and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage, according to media reports.

The library is hosting a grand reopening celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, at the library, 70 E. Main St., Stony Point.

It is also holding a fundraiser to help pay the repair bills at 7 p.m.Thursday, at Lynch’s restaurant, 79 Liberty Drive, Stony Point.
