WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The United States Military Academy has begun to investigate a photo showing 16 African-American female cadets wearing uniforms and raising their fists, according to lohud.com.
The image is under question because of a possible violation of military restrictions on political activity. The photo was originally intended as an annual tradition with seniors taking photos in uniform to pay homage to predecessors.
Observers interpreted the photo as perhaps in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement according to lohud.com.
