Brian Baek Of Pomona, Nypd Officer, Dies At 31

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Former NYPD officer Brian Baek of Pomona, died on Friday, Sept. 29.  He was 31.

Born on Jan. 31, 1986, to Chinhee and Anthony Baek, he graduated from North Rockland High School and was a nine-year member of the NYPD; stationed at the 50th precinct. 

Baek was known for his vivid sense of humor, being a faithful friend, being the jokester, and always being there for the people who needed him. He was a true human being, with a one-of-a-kind soul. 

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Baek and dog Jax. He is also survived by his older brother Eugene; niece Thea; all his family, friends and cousins; and the entire New York City Police Department. May he rest in heaven with his grandmother.

The family will receive friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City. A service will be held by Pastor Peter Ahn at the same location at 8 p.m.
