Joseph Patrick Dunn, Sr., 80, Of Haverstraw

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- Joseph Patrick Dunn Sr., a resident of Haverstraw, died Sunday, March 27. He was 80.

He was a pastor at the Central Presbyterian Church in Haverstraw for many years before retiring.

During his time as pastor, he was active in the community and began a program in the village offering free meals to the needy every Thanksgiving and Christmas. He was a member of the Rotary and and was Chaplain of the Haverstraw Fire Dept.

He is survived by his wife Cathy; his children Joseph P. Jr. of Hoboken, N.J.,Richard T. of Glen Cove, N.Y., David M. of Haverstraw, Mark W. of Haverstraw and Allison Kuhn.

He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Dunn.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., Northvale. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
