DWI Pomona Man Found Asleep With Engine Running On Front Lawn, Police Say

A Pomona man charged with DWI was found asleep in a car with the engine running on a Nyack front lawn, Orangetown Police say.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Pomona man found asleep behind the wheel of a car with its engine running on the front lawn of a Nyack house has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

Orangetown Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Yorrick just before 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13 after they found his car on the front lawn of a home on Third Avenue.

Yorrick had consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.

He was charged with DWI and possession of marijuana. He is due back in court Nov. 14
