The 16-year-old female New Rochelle High School student who was stabbed during a fight near the high school on Wednesday afternoon has died, according to police.
Valeree Schwab, 16, suffered a stab wound during a fight early on Wednesday afternoon outside the Dunkin’ Donuts location on North Avenue, around the corner from the high school.
According to police, officers responded to the scene shortly after 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, where there were reports of a fight involving multiple high school-aged students. During the dispute, Schwab suffered a stab wound in her torso. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead.
A suspect has been identified, but no further info has been released.
