The man, who entered the bank shortly before closing time, told the teller "this is a robbery," and demanded cash. He is described as being a white male in his 30s, 5-foot-8, 215 pounds, with rough skin and a scar on his face, police said.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the bank on foot in a northerly direction, police said.

The latest robbery comes on the heels of several Hudson Valley bank heists, including one in late July at the Chase Bank at the corner of Rosman Road and Route 202 in Garnerville. During that robbery, the suspect stated that he had a weapon and demanded money before fleeing on foot.

The Haverstraw Detective Division is asking anyone with information to contact them at 845-354-1500.
