STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A Nanuet man was busted for having pot Friday after Stony Point Police stopped him on a traffic violation, according to police.

Marquis Gamble, 32, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

He was arrested after police stopped him for crossing the double yellow lines, said Lt. Keith Williams.

Police found him to be operating on a suspended New York State driver's license, which is an unclassified misdemeanor, according to Williams.

Police found Gamble in possession of  1.5 grams of marijuana, a violation, Williams said.

He was arrested, processed and released on several traffic tickets and due in court Dec. 15.
