Man Claiming To Have Weapon Robs Bank In Garnerville, Police Say

GARNERVILLE, N.Y. - An investigation is underway into a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday in Garnerville, according to police.

The Chase Bank at the corner of Rosman Road and Route 202 was robbed around 2 p.m. by a male suspect who entered the bank and stated that he had a weapon before he demanded money. 

An undisclosed amount of cash was turned over to the suspect, who never displayed a weapon and fled east toward the ShopRite parking lot across the street.

Haverstraw Lt. Martin Lund said department’s detective division is investigating the incident and declined to provide a description of the suspect at this time.
