Man Sexually Abused Child Under 13 In Orange County, State Police Say

A 68-year-old man has been charged with sexual abuse of a child following an incident that occurred in Orange County on Friday, state police said Saturday.

The state police child abuse unit, working in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services, announce the arrest of Stanley Paul Allen from Thomasville, NC,  for the sexual abuse of a child.

Allen was charged in the Town of Wallkill with Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree (a Class B felony), Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (a Class D felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child ( a Class A misdemeanor).

The child was less than 13 years old at the time of the alleged incident, police said. The gender of the child was not released by police.

Allen was arraigned in the Town of Goshen Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 Cash or $100,000 Bond.
