ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  A man landed in jail after violating a stay-away order of protection in Stony Point.

Cristian Vasquez, 35, was arrested after Stony Point police responded to the area of Prospect Place in Tomkins Cove for a report of people yelling and found Vasquez and a woman involved in a domestic dispute on Friday, Oct. 6, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.

During the dispute, police discovered that Vasquez, who police say was homeless, was violating an order of protection.

Vasquez was remanded to the Rockland County Jail on $500 bail. He is due to appear in court on Dec. 17.
