FLORIDA, N.Y. -- Police are searching for the owner of a black and white pit bull that attacked a killed a 14-year-old terrier at Glenmere Lake, according to Time Warner Cable News.
Ester Donohue, the terrier's owner, was walking her pet at the lake when the pit bull came running from about 300 feet away, according to TWC News.
The larger dog attacked, breaking Wallace the terrier's pelvis, biting his jaw and tossing him into the water, according to TWC News.
The terrier, who used to bring comfort to the sick at an area doctor's office, later succumbed to his injuries, according to TWC News.
Police have little information to go on and are asking anyone who may information on the case to step forward, according to TWC News.
