Police Make Numerous Traffic, Drug Arrests In Stony Point

STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police have chalked up a number of traffic and other arrests these past few weeks.

The blotter is as follows:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 30: James H. Ray, 23, of West Haverstraw, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed driving and driving with a suspended registration, police said. He was ticketed, released, and ordered to appear in court at a later date, police said.
  • Thursday, Jan. 8 -- Christopher Landes, 27, of Stony Point, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed driving after a traffic stop revealed he had a suspended license, police said. He was ticketed, released, and ordered to appear in court on Feb. 2.
  • Joel Crespo, 23, of Stony Point, was charged with trespass, police said. He had been wanted on a warrant out of Orangetown. He was turned over to the Town of Orangetown police to answer the charge, police said.
  • Monday, Jan. 11: Kristos Thoksakis, 29, of Lake Andes, S.D., who had been wanted on driving while intoxicated charges was arrested, police said. He was arraigned, released, and ordered to appear in the Stony Point Justice Court on Thursday, Jan. 21.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 13: Mark A. Curran, 48, of Stony Point, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed driving, police said. Curran’s license had been suspended for driving while ability impaired, police said. He was ticketed, released and ordered to appear in court on Feb. 29.
  • Friday, Jan. 15: Luis Cedeno, 49, of Haverstraw, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, police said. Cedeno was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop revealed he was in possession of 1.3 grams of pot, police said. He was ticketed, released, and ordered to appear in the Stony Point Justice Court on Feb. 2.
  • Sunday, Jan. 17: Freddy Abreu-Santana, 30, of Haverstraw was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed driving after a traffic stop showed he was driving with a suspended license, police said. He was ticketed, released, and ordered to appear in court on Feb. 10.
  • James Patterson, 17, of Stony Point was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, police said. Police said Patterson was found to be in possession of 4.2 grams of pot. He was released and ordered to appear in the Stony Point Justice Court on March 3.
