Narcotics detectives investigating drug dealing found the “suspiciously packaged” cash after stopping the 2006 grey Honda Accord and obtaining consent from the driver for a search of the vehicle, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Thursday.

Given the circumstances, they arrested the driver, Doloris Abeau-Santana and her passenger, Wilfred Lopez-Bueno, both 26, on charges of transporting or possessing property derived from criminal activity.

The pair was released under New Jersey’s 2017 Bail Reform & Speedy Trial Act, pending an Aug. 2 initial appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
