STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police arrested two local people over the holiday weekend, one for drugs and driving on a suspended license, and another for driving on a suspended license.

Michelle Squillante, 46, of Stony Point was charged with driving on a suspended license and for possession of a hypodermic needle and a small quantity of marijuana, following a traffic stop around 2 a.m. Sunday, Stony Point, Lt. Daniel Hylas said.

Squillante was released on $80 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 20.

The second arrest occurred at 2 a.m. Monday when Stephen Martinez, 29, of Stony Point, was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be driving with a suspended license for a former DWI offense, Hylas said.

He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in court on June 20.
