STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A Stony Point woman was arrested by town police after she was accused of stealing a car from Suffern and possessing heroin, authorities said.
Angela M. Schlageter, 23, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, possession of stolen property, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, fourth-degree grand larceny and petty larceny, police said.
According to police, Schlageter stole a 2002 Toyota from Suffern and dumped the vehicle on Lake Road in Stony Point. When arrested, officers found that she was in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles, police said.
She was also wanted on a bench warrant from the Rockland County Sheriff's Office on similar charges, police said.
In 2015, she was arrested by the Stony Point police on charges of stealing a vehicle from the parking lot of the Stony Point ShopRite, police said.
Schlageter was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear on July 7. She was then turned over to the Sheriff’s Office to answer the charges associated with the bench warrant, police said.
