Tomkins Cove Woman Steals Money From Home Of Acquaintance, Police Say

A Tomkins Cove woman, who was nabbed by Stony Point Police in September with heroin, was arrested again Oct. 31 on burglary charges after she stole money from a home that was occupied.

Michelle Torres-Squillante, 47, was arrested following an investigation that determined she entered an occupied home on  Filors Lane, and after rifling through bedroom drawers, stole money from two bedrooms, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas. 

Torres-Squillante knew the residents of the home, he added.

She was charged with felony burglary and larceny. She is being held at the Rockland County Jail on $2,500 bail.
