ULSTER, N.Y. -- Ulster police have arrested a 58-year-old Kingston man on a menacing charge, authorities said.
Patrols responded to a local motel for an incident involving a knife at 10:23 p.m. Tuesday, police report.
An investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Daniel W. Maher, displayed a knife directed toward another party involved in the incident, according to officials.
There were no injuries to anyone involved in the dispute, police report.
Maher was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor; he was processed and arraigned in the village of Saugerties, according to officials.
The defendant was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail, police report.
He is scheduled to appear in Ulster Town Court on Tuesday, according to officials.
