STONY POINT, N.Y. – The Stony Point Police Department released a blotter of recent arrests from the end of February, including remanding a defendant to Haverstraw police on an outstanding warrant.

Evans Whitaker, 27, of the Bronx, was arrested on second-degree criminal contempt charges Monday after a traffic stop and investigation found that he was wanted by the Haverstraw Police Department on an outstanding bench warrant, police said. He was turned over to Haverstraw police to face the charges, according to police.

Two men were charged with marijuana possession: 18-year-old Frankie Tuller of Newburgh was arrested on Feb. 26; and 25-year-old Matthew Selsky of New City on Monday, police said. Tuller was arrested at a basement apartment, and Selsky was booked after a traffic stop, according to police.

Three people were charged with third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: 35-year-old Marie Zamor of Monsey on Feb. 28; and 34-year-old Jessie Polhamus of Clinton Corners and 25-year-old Nelson Childs of Pearl River on Monday, police said. All three were arrested and charged after traffic stops, according to police.

Joseph Naclerio, 33, of Stony Point, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 28 after a traffic stop and investigation found that he was allegedly in possession of Oxycodone and Clonazepam pills, according to police.

Besides Whitaker, all other defendants will answer to charges at the Stony Point Justice Court, police said. Tuller and Naclerio will appear on March 17, Selsky, Childs and Polhamus on April 7, and Zamor will report before a judge on April 12, according to police.
