The Department of Transprotation is giving Rockland County municipalities $1.4 million to help improve their roads, Senator David Carlucci announced. The money is part of the DOT's Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS), Extreme Winter Recovery (EWR) and Local PAVE-NY 2017-18 budget.

The Town and Village of Ossining, which are in Carlucci's district, will also be getting some funding.

"This is where the rubber meets the road as far as getting results that make a difference to people. By securing this funding, we will invest in our infrastructure to help maintain safe roads and bridges while allowing localities to use taxpayer money for other community benefits," said Senator Carlucci said.
