The athletic director of the North Rockland Central School District will join a WFAN 660 AM radio show this Sunday to discuss a long-observed 9/11 tradition of abstention.

Joe Casarella will be on "Sports Edge," a radio show hosted by Rick Wolff, at 8 a.m. to discuss the district's annual tribute to victims of the 9/11 attacks, the district announced Thursday.

Since 2002 district sports teams have not participated in athletic events on 9/11. Casarella is the only administrator in the state with such a policy, according to district officials.

Tune into WFAN 660 AM or 101.9 FM to hear the interview, or visit www.tunein.com/wfan660 to hear the interview.
