Compete In Suffern's Poetry Slam At Village Hall

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Suffern Poetry is hosting a poetry slam on Saturday, from 6:30-9 p.m., at Suffern Village Hall (top floor), 61 Washington Ave., Suffern.

Doors open and sign-up begins at 6:30 p.m. Poetry begins at 7 p.m. and should be over by 9 p.m.

A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or recite original work. These performances are then judged on a numeric scale by previously selected members of the audience.

Anyone can sign up to read up to five minutes of original poetry. There is a $5 recommended donation.
