Who Has The Best Brunch In Rockland County?
- Craft House. Suffern
- 14 & Hudson, Piermont
- Restaurant X and Bully Bar, Congers
Three nominees are in the running for the “DVlicious best in Rockland,” each of which is being profiled this week. What follows are some tasty morsels to chew on, giving you food for thought before you click on your favorite.
Keep in mind you can vote multiple times, albeit once per day. Voting ends 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 29th.
14 & Hudson, 457 Piermont Ave., Piermont, (845) 680-0014
Why Go: The pub-like dining room’s laid-back ambience and the outdoor deck. Strolling around the postcard-worthy village of Piermont -- with its Hudson views, cute shops, and artsy atmosphere -- is a good way to walk off those brunch calories.
Worth Waking Up For: Like its name, brunch (a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch) isn’t just for eggs and orange juice any more. At 14 & Hudson, they also serve up crispy and juicy fried chicken sandwiches, pork dumplings, and Baja fish tacos. But if you’re still the power breakfast type, go for the blueberry pancakes or the vanilla-scented French toast piled with sautéed apples. (The warm maple syrup comes on the side, so you can drizzle on just the right amount.)
When: Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Prix Fixe? No. Menu items are individually priced.
