Accident Causes Heavy Delays On Palisades Interstate Parkway In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 9:45 a.m. accident caused heavy delays on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland on Tuesday morning.

The accident, on the southbound side, is blocking the shoulder at Exit 11 (New Hempstead Road).

Backups are to Route 45 (Exit 12). 

Farther south, a vehicle fire, reported at 9:40 a.m., has resulted in stop-and-go traffic on the northbound Garden State Parkway at Exit 168 with backups to Exit 166 (Linwood Avenue).
