Garner Arts Center Honors Career Of 'Batman' Writer Denny O'Neil

GARNERVILLE, N.Y. -- Garner Arts Center will will honor the career of legendary comic book writer and editor Dennis "Denny" O'Neil with its first Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dye Works space on March 5.

Known as the dean of American comics, O'Neil was the visionary behind Batman for more than 40 years. 

The Rockland County resident will participate in a conversation with Michael Uslan, the executive producer of the upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film.

Paul Levitz, former president and publisher of DC Comics will moderate the talk.

The Dye Works space will be filled with artwork and videos from O'Neil's career 

General admission is $40, which includes the artist conversation, artwork and videos. Drinks will be for sale. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. 

VIP admission is $65, which includes hors d'oeuvres, open bar and a meet and greet with O'Neil, Levitz and Uslan. VIP hour begins at 6:30 p.m.
