HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Eight dispensaries opened when New York's medical marijuana program officially launched on Thursday, according to Time Warner Cable News.
Etain LLC is producing marijuana for the Hudson Valley dispensary in Kingston. Five companies were approved to produce medical marijuana for a total of 20 dispensaries, Time Warner Cable News reported.
Lawmakers passed the Compassionate Care Act 18 months ago to permit patients wife life-altering ailments to reduce pain using medical marijuana, Time Warner Cable News said.
