GARNERVILLE, N. Y. -- A North Rockland teen is celebrating a happy ending after a stranger went out of his way to return the young man's wallet lost during a family trip in New Jersey, according to lohud.com.
Everything is still intact, including $62 in cash that 17-year-old Joseph Gizzi earned doing summer jobs. The incident gives Joseph's mother, Maureen, hope that there are still good people in the world, says lohud.com.
The man who returned it, who refused to give his name or take a reward for his efforts, told the family he found it behind a CVS store in Seaside Heights, N.J. He drove to Garnerville to deliver the wallet in person on Saturday, reports lohud.com.
Joseph Gizzi, a North Rockland High School student, said he scoured Seaside Heights in his search before the family returned home, according to lohud.com.
