NORTH ROCKLAND, N.Y. -- The developers behind a huge, proposed shopping center, Tuxedo Farms, have presented plans that would extend the border into Rockland County, according to lohud.com.
The developer, Related Companies, are asking to build 63,900-square-feet center including a supermarket and retail space off Route 17 that would make Sloatsburg the southern entrance to the center, reported lohud.com.
The Planning Board will consider the request next Tuesday, Nov. 17, for a request to change the zoning on the property, lohud.com said.
The project was first proposed in 1989 but it has been 10 years since Sloatsburg allowed the developer to build the private Quail Road linking it to Route 17, added lohud.com.
