Justin Patyi, 22, was charged with DWI after an investigation into the single-car accident revealed he was driving while intoxicated, according to police.

The vehicle driven by Patyi collided with a rock wall along the 100 block of North Liberty Drive/Route 9W around 1:11 a.m. on Oct. 16, Stony Point Lt. Keith Williams said.

When police arrived Patyi had some facial injuries and was semi-conscious. He was subsequently transported to Nyack Hospital where he was treated for the injuries he sustained in the accident, police said.

In addition to the DWI charge Patyi was issued several traffic tickets. The department is awaiting the results from a blood test, Williams said.

Patyi is due back in Stony Point Justice Court on Nov. 15.
