STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Four people have been arrested by the Stony Point Police Department and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the span of 12 days.
Everett Swann Jr., a 65-year-old Garnerville resident, was arrested on Tuesday, July 26 for aggravated unlicensed operation. He was arrested on an active bench warrant from Stony Point, and was turned over to the Stony Point PD by the Clarkstown Police Department.
Swann was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on an appearance ticket for Aug. 18, after posting $250 cash bail.
Benjamin A. Acheampong, 30, of West Haverstraw, was arrested on Friday, June 22, for aggravated unlicensed operation. He is accused of driving while his New York license was suspended. He was arrested, processed and released on several traffic tickets.
An accident investigation determined the Kristen Patyi, an 18-year-old Garnerville resident, was driving while her New York license was suspended, police said. She was arrested on Saturday, June 16, for aggravated unlicensed operation, processed and released on several traffic tickets, returnable on Aug. 2.
Lastly, Gerson Prosper III, 33, of Stanford, Connecticut, was arrested on Thursday, June 14, for aggravated unlicensed operation. He was arrested after a commercial vehicle detail determined his driving privileges had been suspended for failing to answer a summons. Prosper was arrested, processed and released on several traffic summonses, returnable Aug. 18.
