Haverstraw Man, 20, Charged With Stealing Boss's Credit Card In Stony Point

STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A Haverstraw man was arrested Friday, Jan. 27 for stealing, and then charging more than $800 on his former boss's credit card, according to the Stony Point Police.

Eric Lopez, 20, was charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property following an investigation by the Stony Point Police Detective Bureau that revealed he had stolen the card when he resigned from Eastern State Tire in Stony Point, said Lt. Keith Williams.

Lopez used the credit card 20 times, charging $834.87 worth of gas, Williams said.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.
