According to Officer Matthew Galli, the department received the call around 8:48 p.m. reporting the body at the store located at 140 Route 59.

Officers and detectives responded to the area and with the assistance of New York State Police and their cadaver dog, as well as the Rockland County Sheriff Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and conducted a canvass of the area, Galli said.

The NYSP cadaver dog did indicate the presence of remains in the area; however, the remains were that of an animal. No human remains or body was found during the canvass of the area, Gallie said.
