The festive Italian bingo game, typically played around the holidays, brought cheer to both generations, recounted teacher Tricia Castelli, who along with teacher Maria Bruno are co-advisers of the the The Dante Alighieri Chapter of the Società Onoraria Italica, its official name.

The students, sophomore, junior and senior members have organized the games before.

"We do it twice a year. We had people this time who've been before, said Castelli.

"They really look forward to it. A gentlemen played that day who hadn't before. And when his two family or friends came to visit, they asked for him, but he was participating in a game. I said I'd go get him, but the said let him play. They said he usually doesn't get involved and just sits here," she continued.

The residents enjoy being with the teens and visa versa, Castelli noted.

"We're playing bingo but also talking. Everybody is talking about other things," she added. "Some of the resident have visitors all the time and some never do. It feels nice to do this."Nice talking to you today.
