A Levittown man is charged with a woman's fatal overdose in 2021, and prosecutors say he took more drugs before calling for help on her behalf.
Steven Yard, 31, is charged with drug delivery resulting in death, involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and related offenses for the death of 39-year-old Mary Coyle, said Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub in a statement.

A quadruple stabbing at a Bucks County school and a shooting that happened within hours of each other in the same neighborhood may be related, authorities said.
The night of chaos began around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Penn Valley Elementary School on North Turn Lane in Levittown, where four people were stabbed during an altercation between two groups, Falls Township police said.
The victims, three of whom were minors, were taken to local hospitals, where they are expected to survive, police said.

Charges have been upgraded for a Bucks County man whose girlfriend died of injuries suffered by him days after an assault, authorities said Tuesday.
Evan M. Smith, 37, of Morrisville, was charged last week with aggravated assault, strangulation, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and fleeing and eluding.
A homicide charge was tacked on for Smith, whose 36-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Beighley -- who had been clinging to life since Thursday -- died on Sunday at Jefferson Bucks Hospital, the Bucks County DA's Office said.

A Bucks County man was arrested on various assault charges for choking his girlfriend to the point of unconsciousness at a motel in Fairless Hills Thursday, authorities said.
Officers responding to a report of a cardiac arrest, found Jamie Beighley, 36, lying on the floor of a room in New Falls Motel on Lincoln Highway with no pulse, and blood on her face, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.

Victim In Fatal Falls Township Crash Identified As Morrisville Woman, Police Say
The victim in a fatal crash that occurred in Falls Township Tuesday morning has been identified, authorities said.
Nancy Amoroso, 86, of Morrisville, was traveling South on Hood Boulevard in a 2017 Nissan Sentra when she experienced a medical emergency, and veered across the opposite lane, striking a parked unoccupied car, around 7:50 a.m., according to Falls Township police chief Nelson Whitney.
Amoroso was transported to Jefferson Bucks Hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter, Whitney said.

Bucks Man Threatens Woman With Stun Gun, Maces Himself, Police Say
A Bucks County man threatened a woman with a stun gun and then sprayed himself with pepper spray, said authorities who arrested both on drug charges.
Officers were called to the Nolan Park Apartments in Morrisville for a domestic situation between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. May 7, Falls Township police said.
There, Christopher Mosher, 21, had been arguing with Caitlyn Eastmead, 18, who said Mosher threatened her with the gun before macing himself, police said.
Police found drugs in the apartment and Mosher and the woman were arrested, authorities said.

A 30-year-old Bucks County man is in custody after police say he threatened to grab an officer's gun in Morrisville Friday evening.
