A pair of Long Island store clerks are facing charges for allegedly selling alcohol to minors during an undercover sting operation, police said.
As part of the Nassau County Police Department’s “Project 21” initiative - which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco to minors - conducted on Thursday, Jan. 9 with an underage agent, clerks in Massapequa sold alcohol to two minors.

The flames tore through Churrasqueira Bairrada in Mineola, sending smoke and flames billowing into the air on Saturday, Dec. 21, officials said. A three-alarm fire destroyed a Long Island home just two days before Christmas.
More than 100 firefighters from seven departments battled the three-alarm blaze that broke out at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23 at a home on Farnum Boulevard in Franklin Square, fire officials said.
It is unclear what caused the fire, which quickly spread to every floor in the house, destroying it. Firefighters from Franklin Square and Munson, Franklin Square, Elmont, New Hyde Park, Plainview, Hempstead, and West Hempstead all responded to the scene.
